This policy describes how Wilderness Programs Guide is written and reviewed.

Independence. The guide is editorially independent. It accepts no payment from programs, schools, treatment centers, or referral services, and it does not rank or endorse providers. No commercial relationship shapes what is published.

Sourcing. Articles rely on publicly available material such as published program descriptions, government guidance, and peer reviewed research. Claims are attributed to their source where possible. When sources conflict or evidence is limited, the text says so instead of choosing a side.

Scope and limits. Content is general information for orientation. It is not medical, legal, or clinical advice, and it cannot assess an individual situation. Readers who need advice about a specific person should consult a qualified professional.

Neutrality of language. Articles describe how programs are presented and what questions to ask. They avoid promotional wording, urgency, and emotional appeals, and they do not use em dashes or en dashes.

Corrections. Errors are corrected when identified, and the correction is noted in the article. The contact page explains what to include in a request.

Images. Images are illustrative AI images. They do not show real people, places, or programs and carry no evidential weight.

Updates. Articles may be revised as sources change. Substantive changes are reflected in the text rather than silently removed. This publication is new and makes no claim to continue any earlier entity.
